BG Skate Park Opening
Planning meeting Sat. Jan. 13, 11am @ BG Parks & Rec Come help plan the rules for the park & our opening event! Skate Park Movie Fundraiser doors open 9:30a.m.; showtime 10a.m. - 2 skate videos: 1 old school 1 new school - "Search for Animal Chin" - Powell Peralta 1986 Giveaways from Powell and Element; Print Mafia shirts and posters for sale; Raffles including signed posters. All proceeds go towards lighting & amenities at the new Skate Park. It is across from Greenwood Mall at the end of the strip mall containing Southern Lanes. *New - PRIZES ADDED! Come out and watch or compete in the first Skate Park competition to raise money for lights and other amenities for our coming skate park! Help spread the word by printing or emailing flyers or the press release. View the course blueprints. RAFFLES - raffle tickets will be available for lots of great giveaways including an Ipod Nano from The Place, a bike from Howard's Cycling & Fitness, decks & other products from Alien Workshop, a complete board from Blue Wallace, aggressive inline skates & a Mega Party Package from Greenwood Skate Center, 200 hours of Karate lessons & uniform from Marty Eubanks AND the ramps and fun box constructed for the competition as well as other prizes. TShirts available by Print Mafia. The skate course will be created using ramps, rails and a half pipe on loan from area skaters.
