Mark W. Griffin Born: Nov. 10, 1970 in Russellville, KY Graduate of Murray State University with a BS in Broadcast Journalism. He co-created a dating-game called Off the Wall, and was station manager/deejay of student run radio station. He worked at the News Democrat & Leader as a staff reporter and photographer (and gopher) til 1999 when he left to pursue his writing career, joining the staff of the Logan County Public Library by day. His hobbies include writing (of course), reading, hiking, photography, movies, music, history, and folklore. His main obsession are the Night Riders, which many think he was in a past life. Aside from freelancing at The Amplifier, he has had articles published in Kentucky Living Magazine, The Meeting Place, The Vulture (a defunct Bowling Green magazine), and The Free Press. Some of his poems and stories have been published in various sources. He is currently working on a book about the communities of Logan County. (Mark stays so busy with stuff that he has no social life.) With The Amplifier, he wrote Local Lore, Look at Logan, the occasional cover story, and, when he has time, Volunteer of the Month up until 1999. He also publishes his own zine Quake, which can be found on his homepage.
